Update

Hi blog, its now the 9th of April 2024 and we are in the last week of term one. At the start of the year we were just introduced to the subject media and learnt the 4 key technical elements (camera, sound, editing & Mise- en- scene), we learnt about codes and conventions of a thriller genre. Next we started brainstorming and planning our preliminary task one, we then started filming it, it didn't work at all and we didn't even get to finish filming that night, then my only media classmate Leelu went away to Japan for 3 weeks when we were meant to be filming again, so we then decided to switch the curriculum around and do some theory in that time. The theory we focused on was audiences and institutions, I learnt about representation and the 7 main areas, ownership, synergy, cross media convergence and how to write an ownership essay. I also put together my case studies and learnt all about Disney as well as creating the logo for our films. Over the Easter break I went to a camp where I got to know a bunch of new people and had a bunch of fun, I also have now started my netball season and have just finished my football season. Then my classmate came back and just the other day we did some re- planning for our preliminary task one and filmed it all again and it went really well! Now we are about to start editing it.
